Role
The Technical Working Group writes and develops new API standards, and new versions of existing API standards according to the development plan. The Business Working Group can provide guidance to the Technical Working Group, particularly about business issues associated with the standards being developed.
The Technical Working Group meets fortnightly and is led by Nigel Somerfield.
Composition
Each of our API Standards Users can nominate two representatives to join the Technical Working Group. All members of the working group have relevant experience in payments, open banking, API design and governance practices, security standards such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect or FAPI, and/or knowledge of their organisation’s tech stack.
Each member, upon joining the working group, agrees that they will act in what they believe to be the best interests of the API Centre, guided by the API Centre Objectives.
